I know it's been a long time since I posted anything ...
Well, let's just say that the second semester 2008 was a little bit ... nighmarish.
Between too much work, not enough rest, home "designing" for our new flat, problems in health, problems with family ...
Wow.
Definitely overwelming.
And too much to bear, sometimes.
So, I did what I do best : lower my head, face everything the best I can and re-inforce and hide in my "Armour"...

However, I was always saved by litlle rays of sunshine, reading magnificent stories ...
I always try to comment ...
But sometimes, I could only feel and hurt ...
And could not type anything because my mind was ... blank ... And words just kept evading ...

SO.

In order to say good-bye to this sh...tty 2008 year, I apologize for all the birthdays I forgot, all the comments I should have written ...

Was so tired Yesterday that I just ... rested. 
With a very nice headache provided by the very warm weather we have presently in Paris ...

Now, it's back in the saddle on running around in the house (took 1 day off) to clean, arrange, empty some boxes, ...

We now own our flat, just outside Paris.
After the hired professionels left (thank god), we are now in the fun process of decorating, wall papering, painting.
Every weekend is like a marathon with all the things we have to do. BUT, it is definitely worth it.
We re-discover our flat with each change.
we arrange, re-arrange.
I am just a little bit fed up with the last boxes to open ... The last ones ... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!
We only took a 2-week break for moving out-moving in ... And it was really tiring. without mentioning stressful.

And I really want to thank all and everyone that wrote amazing stories during that time.
Without even knowing, you brightened this period, making me laugh, think, drool (yep).

I know, it is been a long time since I wrote anything ...
You know the drill : RL is a bitch, too much work, not enough sleep, lots of unhappy things to deal with ...
Results : I am holed up into what my Aunt calls my "Armour" ...
Accurate description, believe me.
I protect myself fiercely so people think I am cold or shallow ... Or they just get the outside appearance that is my armour is supposed to represent (and I like this comparison) ...
Is it protection ; self-protection ??? Probably ...

It is also a sad November in Paris (at least there are some sunshine today ...). This weekend was so cold and grey and sad that I just bundled myself with some of my favorite stories and read them once again ...
I like the fact that I can lose myself in reading amazing stories / verses ... I think I can always learn something about me or someone ... I needed to "disconnect"...

I guess that I also needed to vent some hidden frustration ... Or some lack of sleep ...

I am French ...
I saw the match New Zealand / France this weekend.
Both teams were really good ...  It was an impressive match. 
NZ lost its two scorers (hope it is the right term) and France fought on each tackle.
NZ never could play one on one ... French tactical defense was too strong.
And the English referee was fair on both sides ...

On the psychological part, just ask someone that saw the very beginning of the event ...
Have a look at it ... The French team confronting the Haka on the middle line, wearing polos representing the French Flag ...

Imagine the number I have to catch up right now !!!
It is like a reading-marathon !!!
And since I do not want to miss any of my readings ...

On better news, the clients event / incentive I organized during the weekend went fine and that's a huge OK/reward for me... Cuz lemme tell you, it was very stressful ...
Now I just have to do the same for rugby semi-finals and the final ...
Oh wowza ...
Paris is literally breathing rugby ... Amazing atmosphere.
Plus the fact that the Frenchies won against the All Blacks...
Hey, it was a beautiful match. I watched it. 
Before I went walking in Paris for the Nuits Blanches (White Nights).
This cultural event happens during the 1st Friday night of October. 
Scattered within Paris, lots of arts happenings are created ; mostly modern arts (design, music, lights, ...). 
I am not a modern arts specialist but it was beautiful... And a nice way to discover / rediscover Paris.
